There are so many wonderful Christmas traditions in my hometown.
I'd like to take the time to share some of them with you.
If you've ever had the chance to spend a Christmas in my hometown,
I'm sure that you will share my point of view.

If you travel around this time of year to my hometown,
You'll be greeted from a far side hill by a shining star.
It is there to bid you peace, it's there to bid you welcome,
And it really doesn't matter if you are from near or far.

Oh there's nothing like the feeling of spending Christmas in my hometown,
And I know that those who live here feel it too.
Yes there's nothing like the feeling of spending Christmas in my hometown,
And it's a feeling that we would all love to share with you.

People travel for miles to spend Christmas in my hometown,
To help celebrate the night when Christ was born.
And they're all greeted at the square at midnight in my hometown,
With "Christians, Awake! Salute this happy morn."

You can follow the Carolers who sing throughout the night in my hometown.
You can spend some precious time with your friends and your family.
And you can get the truest feeling of Christmas in my hometown
When the Carolers sing around the Christmas tree.

Oh there's nothing like the feeling of spending Christmas in my hometown,
And I know that those who live here feel it too.
Yes there's nothing like the feeling of spending Christmas in my hometown,
And it's a feeling that we would all love to share with you.

Merry Christmas from my hometown.
Merry Christmas from my hometown.
Merry Christmas, Glen Rock you're my hometown.
